born circa 1895 the son of Charles and Hester Smith. Prior to WW1 Ernest was
corresponding with Rose Pallant, from Bareilly
India and London whilst serving with
the Worcester Regiment.
Ernest died at Gallipoli on the 6th August 1915.
1915 Ernest’s pedegree from the CWGC web-site is given as Son of Charles and Esther Ann Smith, of Dean St., Brewood, Staffs.
