1871 Census why was Alfred in the Poorhouse ?? only member of thisfamily, was it because Alfred had reached the age of 13 and could notfind work.
From the 1881 Census Alfred of Stagsden age 22 was a Boarder of theFlute Family, occupation shoemaker.

"l am looking for my Great Great Grandparents. George Wright and AnnSeamarks. George was born in 1834 in Astwood to Thomas Wright and Annwa born in Stagsden in 1834 also to a John Seamarks. They were listedon their death certificates as being married in 1855 at Astwood.Theyemigrated to Australia and had Six children, my great grandmother MaryElizabeth, being the first born in 1862 at Milawa in Victoria. Whowent on to marry Charles Knight and they made their home in BeechworthVictoria. Any information any one has on them would be appreciated."
